Brickyard Spinney

A modest woodland patch just outside Rugby, Brickyard Spinney is the sort of place that sneaks up on you. It's not dramatic - no ancient oaks or rare woodland flowers to shout about - but it's proper useful if you're camped at Eriba Glade or Meadow Field Luxury Glamping nearby and need to stretch your legs without driving somewhere.

The spinney itself is dense and damp underfoot, with a network of narrow paths threading through mixed woodland. You'll find birch, hawthorn, and various conifers creating decent cover. It's ideal for a quick walk before breakfast or after the kids have had enough of the caravan site - maybe forty minutes to an hour if you potter about and actually look at things.

This is walker territory rather than a destination in its own right. The ground can be boggy, particularly after rain, so proper boots matter. Wildlife spotters might catch birds darting through the canopy, but you won't find the spectacular stuff here. Children will be fine for a bit, though there's nothing to keep them engaged for hours.

Access appears to be free, and there's no visitor centre or facilities to speak of. The nearest towns - Rugby itself is just three miles away - mean you could combine this with a proper activity elsewhere in the area. It's the kind of spinney you'd recommend to someone already staying locally, not somewhere you'd plan a day trip around. Practical for caravan sites in the vicinity, nothing more.
