Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain

The walk up Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain starts gently enough from near Pitlochry, but don't let that fool you - this Perthshire peak has proper teeth. You're looking at a serious hill walk rather than a casual stroll, climbing to 907 metres with views that stretch across the Tayside landscape once you've earned them.

It's the kind of outing where hillwalkers and experienced ramblers will have the most rewarding time. You'll need decent boots, spare time - allow a full day - and reasonable weather. From Blair Castle Caravan Park, which sits just 6.2 miles away and deserves its solid 4.4 rating, this peak makes for an ambitious day trip if you're based in the area. The nearby River Tilt Park is closer but rates lower, so you might want to reconsider that option if you're planning a proper walking holiday.
