Boha Glass

Glass art in a Somerset studio doesn't sound like the sort of thing that stops you in your tracks, but Boha Glass does exactly that. It's a working gallery where you can watch artisans actually making the stuff - not behind a velvet rope, but properly crafting pieces right in front of you. The studio is just outside Bristol's reach, close enough for a day trip but far enough that it feels like proper countryside.

What you're looking at depends on what's on show, but expect contemporary glass work that ranges from functional pieces to proper sculptural statements. Some of it's beautiful, some deliberately challenging. If you're the sort who gets excited by technique and process rather than just the finished object, you'll lose an hour here easily.
