Families with young children might find it a bit underwhelming beyond the novelty of the view itself. You can't spend hours here. But if you're cycling or rambling through the area - and this sits nicely between the holiday parks scattered around Beeston, Tattenhall, and the wider Cheshire leisure landscape - it's worth the detour. The outlook changes with the seasons and the light, so it's one of those spots that reveals something different depending on when you visit.

Go early morning or late afternoon if you want to avoid the midday crowds. The location means it catches wind, so dress accordingly.
