Base yourself at Rye Harbour Holiday Park, just 2.5 miles away, and you can tackle both churches as a morning loop before heading to the coast. Parking in Winchelsea itself is tight but manageable. Neither church charges admission as far as I can tell, and both seem to keep fairly standard opening hours, though it's worth checking locally before you head out. The views across the marshes from Winchelsea's hilltop alone justify the short drive.
