Beaver Water World

Beaver Water World near Warlingham is no longer operating, so you won't be able to visit it today. The attraction closed its gates some years ago, leaving behind memories for anyone who spent a afternoon watching the resident beavers and other wetland creatures. It was the sort of place where kids could actually get close to animals rather than squinting at them from fifty metres away - proper hands-on stuff.

If you're staying at Milberry Green Meadows just down the road, you'd have found it a convenient spot for a couple of hours, though it was never going to be an all-day affair. The focus on beavers and water life meant it had a specific appeal - families interested in wildlife and freshwater ecosystems got the most from it, while those expecting a sprawling zoo experience would've been disappointed.

Since it's closed now, your best bet in the area is to head towards other wildlife attractions or make the most of the local parks. Warlingham itself has decent walking routes and green spaces if you're looking to fill time during a holiday in Surrey. Check ahead before planning a trip - attractions change hands and reopen, but as things stand, Beaver Water World isn't an option. Worth remembering if you're mapping out activities around the local holiday parks though.
