Balmonth Reservoir

Four miles inland from Anstruther, this working reservoir sits quietly in the Fife countryside without much fanfare - and that's exactly its appeal. The water stretches out in a long, narrow shape between gentle hills, with a decent path running most of the way around the perimeter.
