Auchmachar

You'll find yourself walking across rough moorland near Mintlaw in Aberdeenshire to reach Auchmachar, and honestly, that's half the charm. This is a Bronze Age stone circle - five standing stones arranged in that distinctive Scottish format, weathered and matter-of-fact against the Highland landscape.
