Ashton Court Miniature Railway

The narrow-gauge track winds through Ashton Court's grounds near Bristol, and if you're after twenty minutes of gentle trundling through parkland, this delivers exactly that. It's a proper miniature railway - think narrow gauge, small steam and diesel engines, actual working signals. Kids aged four to ten genuinely love it; teenagers find it bit dull unless they're into train spotting.

You'll ride in open carriages that rattle past trees and over a small viaduct. The whole experience takes about half an hour from arrival to departure.
