Antrim Elim

A straightforward Pentecostal church that serves the local Antrim community, Antrim Elim isn't going to stop you in your tracks architecturally. But if you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Blair's Castlewood or Six Mile Water, both just a mile and a half away - and you're after a Sunday service or want to understand what matters to people in this corner of County Antrim, it's worth knowing it's there.

The building itself is functional rather than grand. You'll find it easily enough from the town centre, and locals can point you straight to it. Services run on Sundays, though it's worth checking ahead for times and whether visitors are welcome to drop in. It's the kind of place that attracts regular worshippers rather than tourists, which is fine - that's exactly what it's designed for.

For most holiday park visitors, this won't be a scheduled stop. The real draw around here is the countryside and the walking - Six Mile Water itself offers decent riverside paths, and Antrim town has enough shops and pubs to keep a family fed. If you're religious and want to maintain your Sunday routine while on holiday, Antrim Elim fills that gap. Otherwise, your time is better spent exploring the open spaces that make this part of Northern Ireland worth visiting in the first place.
