Amblecote Holy Trinity Church

The church sits on a quiet corner near Kidderminster, easy enough to miss if you're not looking. Holy Trinity is a proper working parish church with enough history to make the diversion worthwhile, particularly if you're staying at Wolverley Camping and Caravanning Club Site just down the road.

What you get is a Grade II listed building with medieval bones and enough Victorian restoration work to keep architecture types occupied for a good twenty minutes. The interior has that familiar smell of old wood and stone that English churches do so well - not austere, just genuine. There are some decent monuments and the usual peacefully quiet atmosphere that makes these places good for a breather between walking routes.
