All Saints Lapley

The church sits quietly in the village of Lapley, just a short drive from Brewood, and it's one of those places that rewards a proper look around. All Saints is a working parish church with real medieval bones - we're talking 12th-century Norman work that's genuinely impressive once you clock the details. The chancel arch is the standout feature, proper sturdy and decorated with zigzag moulding that shows real craftsmanship. Inside, it's peaceful rather than grand, with that particular smell of old stone and candle wax that only old churches have.
