Air Spirit

A working artist studio and gallery tucked into the Clackmannanshire countryside near Stirling, Air Spirit is the sort of place that rewards curiosity. You're looking at original paintings and sculptures from established Scottish artists - the kind of work that takes time to understand properly, not something you'll rush through in twenty minutes.

The studio itself is intimate. There's a real sense of the creative process on show here rather than a polished commercial gallery feel. If you're into visual art and want to chat with people who actually make things, you'll get something out of it. If you're after a quick tourist tick-box, this probably isn't it.

It's a decent stop if you're basing yourself at one of the local parks - Witches Craig is just two and a half miles away, or Highland Gateway Glamping if you're after something posher. Neither is a long drive, so you could easily combine it with walking the Stirling area or visiting Castle Business Park nearby. Best suited to art enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys a proper mooch around a working studio without the pretension. Kids might get restless unless they're already into drawing and painting, though that's hardly a criticism of the gallery itself.
